Are metal frames heavier than acetate?

Usually lighter, because a metal frame is much thinner for the same strength. The exception is a thick acetate frame compared with a solid, heavy steel one, which this collection avoids.

Will a metal frame irritate my skin?

Stainless steel rarely does. If you react to nickel, choose one of the titanium frames, which are hypoallergenic, and check that the temple tips are acetate or silicone.

What does screwless mean?

The hinge is formed from the metal itself with no screw to loosen or fall out. It is lighter, cleaner looking, and there is nothing to tighten.

Can metal frames be adjusted to fit me?

Yes, more easily than any other material. An optician can reposition the nose pads and bend the temples in a few minutes, and the frame holds the adjustment.
