They move. On a moulded bridge the frame sits wherever the mould puts it, and if that does not match your nose you are stuck with it. Pads on arms can be bent in, out, up or down, so the same frame can be set to sit higher or lower and to grip more or less.

Usually, yes, and they are the first thing to try. Sliding is almost always a bridge that is cut wider or higher than the nose it is resting on. Bringing the pads slightly closer together gives the frame something to sit on instead of something to slide off.

You can, gently, with clean fingers and small movements, checking the fit after each one. Bend the pad arms rather than the pads. If the frame is expensive or the arms feel stiff, an optician will do it in a couple of minutes and usually for nothing.

Mostly the metal ones, which is why this collection and the metal frames collection overlap. Acetate frames generally use a moulded bridge instead, which is why MUJOSH cuts those on a low bridge pattern so they sit correctly without pads.
