Vintage Cat-Eye, in detail

White front, black temples. Vintage Cat-Eye contrasts a white acetate front with black temples, a two tone look offered in its single colorway.

Rivets and an oval logo plate. Twin metal rivets sit at each pointed corner, and an oval metal logo plate is set into the side of each temple.

Slim temples, lighter look. The temples stay slim behind the wide front, keeping the frame visually balanced when seen from the side.

These are a really cute pair of cat-eye sunglasses and they definitely have a more polished, substantial feel than inexpensive fashion sunglasses. I love the classic black frames with the small gold accents. They’re stylish without being so dramatic that I wouldn’t wear them regularly.

The frames feel sturdy and well made, and I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable they are. The lenses are nice and clear without that cheap distorted feeling I’ve experienced with some fashion sunglasses, and the dark gray tint provides good coverage without making everything look unnaturally dark.

My biggest consideration is the $99.99 price. That puts these well above inexpensive sunglasses, so I expected better materials, construction and comfort, and these do deliver a more premium experience.

I still think you’re paying somewhat for the styling and presentation, but if you want a nicer pair of cat-eye sunglasses rather than a disposable fashion pair, these are a beautiful option.

They sit comfortably on my face and do not feel overly heavy around the nose or ears. The lenses provide good coverage outdoors, and the overall fit feels secure without being too tight.
